Work with Me

What to Expect

I deliver classical Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques inside an existential sphere. This means we’ll examine how your thoughts, emotions, and behavior interact in a way that is creating your current experience of life. In our work together, you will begin to understand that these thoughts and actions are connected to your internalized value system, a system that has been constructed with a wide range of input: family values, social expectations, educational institutions, etc. Through existential exploration, you’ll decide which parts of this value system are your sincerely held beliefs, which parts no longer serve your highest and greatest good, and how to fill in the gaps with greater intention and authenticity. You will upgrade the emotional, philosophical, and even spiritual architecture of your being.

To be sure, the process can be challenging. You will also hold onto things that don’t serve you, deny truths that threaten your ego, and sometimes wonder if you’re up to the challenge of change. But along the way you will be rewarded with profound “A-ha!” moments, expanded consciousness, and a deeper empathy for yourself and others. An entirely new way to walk through the world.

I work with people who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, ennui, grief, life transitions, existential crisis, and more. Some clients have a specific topic that they want to explore such as career change, relationship challenges, or a situation – past or present – that they can’t seem to make peace with.

You can expect a warm and supportive environment. I am here to empathize and validate your experiences, but also to challenge you and stimulate your imagination to expand its field of possibilities, and integrate new perspectives. Along with evidence-based techniques and interventions, I integrate intuitive based energetic practices and exercises as appropriate.

I work with clients In-Person at my Portland office near the Oregon Zoo. Being in-person is an essential element of the alchemical process. Virtual therapy is available in rare instances where distance or life circumstances make office visits unreasonably difficult. The first step is to book a 15-minute discovery phone call with me so we can determine our compatibility as practitioner and client.  Use the Schedule an Appointment link, or the phone number provided to reach out so we can set up a day and time to chat.

Payment Information

The cost of therapy is $150 per appointment. When you work with me, you can expect therapy appointments to run between 60-75 minutes. While most therapists offer 50 minute “hour” sessions, I schedule you for a full 60 minutes with a 15-minute grace period to accommodate particularly intense or content rich appointments. Longer appointment times can be accommodated if therapeutically appropriate.

I reserve a limited number of reduced-rate spots for clients whose household income is less than $60,000 a year; please feel free to inquire about availability during our free exploratory call.

I do not bill insurance. Forms of payment I accept are cash, check, and PayPal.
